- Fundamentals of Radio Electronic Systems;
- Radio Electronic Systems;
- Fundamentals of Radar and Radio Navigation;
- Methods of Scientific Research.
Research Activities
Prof. V.M. Kartashov leads a world-renowned scientific school in remote sensing of the atmosphere using acoustic and electromagnetic waves. Major scientific achievements of V.M. Kartashov and his students include: the creation of the theory of vector probing radio-acoustic signals and the development of theoretical foundations for the optimization and adaptation of signal processing devices in atmospheric sensing systems.
Recently, under Prof. Kartashov’s supervision, a significant research direction has been developed for the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using radar, acoustic, and optical signals. A number of state-funded and industrial research projects have been completed, with results at a world-class level.
Chair of the Specialized Academic Council D 64.052.03 for awarding Doctor and Candidate degrees in the specialty 05.12.17 – Radio Engineering and Television Systems (NURE).
Participation in state-funded research projects:
- Applied State-Funded R&D No. 327: Development of an integrated system for processing optical, infrared, acoustic, and radar signals to detect UAVs, determine their coordinates and motion parameters (2019–2020);
- Applied State-Funded R&D No. 335: Methods and tools for UAV detection in systems for protecting military and critical infrastructure (2021–2022)
Research Interests: UAV detection and monitoring methods; methods for designing, optimizing, and researching acoustic and radio-acoustic atmospheric sensing systems; navigation methods for ground and aerial robots.
